A mid-terrace Lakeland stone cottage, just a leap away from the centre of Windermere and less than two miles from Bowness-on-Windermere in the beautiful Lake District National Park. This superb cottage forms a perfect base for families and friends wishing to explore the nearby lakes and mountains with Lake Windermere just two miles away. This delightful cottage is presented over four floors with five bedrooms, including one with a Jacuzzi bath and one a freestanding bath, and there's a separate bathroom available.There is a cosy sitting room with a woodburning stove, ideal for those chilly evenings after a day's walking, and a lower ground floor second sitting room, a great space for you to relax or a separate room for children to make their own.
The open-plan kitchen and dining area is the main hub of the cottage where you can gather together to prepare and enjoy delicious food. Outside there is a private, enclosed patio where you can relax with a refreshing evening drink or morning coffee. At the end of the road there is access into Queen's Park, an excellent place for the children to run off any excess energy or to enjoy ball games together. Being located in the midst of the Lakes, there are endless choices of activities to please young and old. Explore the pretty local villages of Hawkshead, Ambleside and Grasmere, or hop on board the Windermere Steamer.
Hire bikes and cycle through Grizedale Forest, or climb up Orrest Head and admire the breathtaking views over Lake Windermere. Whenever you choose to stay, this lovely cottage will be waiting to welcome you home.

Short walk into windermere town centre and bowness/lake windermere. Absolutely fabulous beautiful big old house. There were 10 of us and 2 dogs and the house was still huge. Lot of old things in the house that could do with being replaced and the cleanliness wasnât great especially for paying a £100 cleaning bill. Very dusty, musty smelling throughout and lots of spider webs with spiders. Main reason we couldnât use the basement was due to the webs and the smell. Didnât affect our holiday at all. As bought cleaning supplies anyway and cleaned as we went. This house was fab, just could do with a better clean before hand. Would 100% recommend and go back! Preferably if it was cleaned top to bottom. Thanks for a great stay!

The children loved the cinema room and Xbox!! The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. It was clean and cosy and we all loved it. Parking was never an issue. And a massive park a few yards away. Shops close by⦠what more would you need!!

The kids loved the downstairs chill out area! Shower on the top floor doesnât drain quick enough but overall we canât fault the place and will definitely be looking to return in the future!! Thank you!
