Guests say

Guests consistently praise Sandown for its prime location, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. The property is appreciated for its ample space, en-suite bedrooms, and thoughtful touches, including a welcome hamper. While some guests mention small bathrooms and the need for minor updates, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests have highlighted the property's cleanliness, often describing it as immaculate. A few guests noted areas for improvement, but these seem to be isolated incidents rather than a common trend.

The location is frequently commended for its convenience, with easy access to local amenities, restaurants, and attractions. The availability of parking and proximity to both Windermere and Bowness are particularly appreciated.

Comfort is well-received with guests finding the beds comfortable and the living spaces spacious. Some guests found the en-suite showers to be on the smaller side, but this did not significantly detract from the overall comfort of their stay.

Facilities are generally praised for being well-equipped and functional. There are mentions of the property having everything needed for a pleasant stay. However, some guests suggest that certain aspects, such as the kitchen appliances and showers, could benefit from updates or maintenance.

Guests have expressed gratitude for the thoughtful touches, including a welcome hamper, which added to their experience. It should be noted that such gestures are at the discretion of the owner and may not be a consistent offering.

Spacious enough for 6 adults, a two year old and our Yorkshire terrier! The bedrooms were lovely and all extremely comfortable. Georgia had decorated the living room for Christmas and it was brilliant that there were 2 fridges! It is perfectly situated to walk into beautiful Bowness and Windermere. The whole week was absolutely magical and I would recommend a stay at Sandown to anyone!

Facilities within 'Sandown' are geared for families and all six of us had plenty of private space when required. Restaurants and cafes are all within walking distance which made our choice of 'going out' a pleasure. The help and communication offered by the owner was of the highest standard. Everything was in place for our arrival and any questions we had during our stay were answered promptly. We all had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property in Bowness-on-Windermere to anyone visiting the Lakes.
