Beech Grove Lodge in Windermere receives high praise for its prime location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the well-equipped lodge, its proximity to Bowness, and the private, tranquil setting. The outdoor seating area is a highlight, contributing to a delightful stay. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is very positive, with many guests eager to return.

The lodge is frequently described as clean and tidy, with several guests highlighting its spotlessness. However, a few reviews mention minor cleanliness issues such as exterior cleanliness and interior details, slightly lowering the score.

The location is consistently lauded for being close to Bowness and local amenities, with easy access to walking trails and the lake. It's described as a perfect base for exploring, contributing to a high score.

Many guests find the lodge comfortable, with special mentions of the beds and seating areas. Some discomfort due to sofa cushions and a lack of fans during hot weather slightly affects the score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. Points are deducted for maintenance issues like WiFi connectivity, shower temperature control, and outdoor furniture condition.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is insufficient information regarding specific thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately assess this category. Therefore, the score is set to null.

We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return in the near future. The lodge was comfortable and clean and located in a private quiet section of the park with entrance/exit being a short walk away to head towards the shops. I would definitely recommend this place if visiting the area.

Location is the main reason for our stay near Bowness and the short walk to centre and town is perfect. We hardly used our car for a week which is ideal. The on-site bar, shop and restaurant is good and we visited several times. Best to visit Tesco Express in our opinion as so much better value. We enjoyed the furniture and patio in between rain showers in an ever increasing wet August. Beds were very comfortable and we could tell the lodge had been well maintained since our last visit in Oct 2022 with some small updates. We had to call maintenance on arrival as unfortunately the en-suite shower head handle holder was broken, making it in-usable for the first half of week. Maintenance did call out eventually mid holiday on day 5 and fixed it. This was slightly disappointing that this had not been picked up before our stay. With two small children it would have been great to have a small electric vacuum cleaner as only an old handheld sweep in lodge. We like to keep the lodge clean as we found it so this would help. WiFi would not work for us which was not a major issue as used data. Would have also been great for a bbq option, even if this was a location for one so a disposable could be used. Overall, we returned as a great warm home feeling lodge and fairly good value vs others we have stopped within same park in recent years. We would definitely return again in the future if travelling as a family of 4. Thanks

This time we selected Beech Lodge Grove through Sykes Holiday Cottages. The property was clean, tidy and was located in a quiet area of the park. The beds were super comfy including the pillows. Everything we needed in the lodge was provided including fluffy towels. The lodge was a good size for our party of 3 adults only 5 mins walk from the on site shop and pub. I would definitely recommend the lodge and hope to return in the future.
