Guests say

High Lake is a well-regarded apartment in Bowness-On-Windermere, praised for its cleanliness, prime location, and comfortable amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and homely feel. While some mention noise from neighbours and a lack of clear instructions for rubbish disposal, the overall sentiment is positive, with many keen to return.

The majority of guests found the apartment to be spotless and well-presented. There were a few isolated comments about dirty crockery and a damp smell, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.

The apartment's location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and within walking distance to local amenities and attractions. It serves as a great base for exploring the Lake District.

Guests generally found the apartment comfortable, with special mentions of comfy beds and a homely atmosphere. Some guests noted noise from other apartments, which affected their comfort levels.

The apartment is described as well-equipped, with a particular focus on the kitchen. However, there were comments about the lack of oven gloves, tongs, and clear instructions for rubbish disposal. The absence of Sky TV, as previously advertised, was also noted.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the host. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Good location within walking distance of Bowness shops, pubs and restaurants. Great base for exploring the Lake District.

The kitchen was lovely and clean and had washing machine, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster and all the utensils we needed and much more - (dish towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets all included etc.) The bathroom was clean and had a large bath and shower cubicle. Bedrooms were lovely and clean too. The cupboard full of board games was a great idea...although we had such good weather so hardly and indoor play time. But great for a rainy day. And the information pack and leaflets were fabulous too! Lovely 5-10 walk into town. Parking was very easy at the flat. We had no noise disturbance at all during our 7 nights. We had a fantastic holiday! Thankyou so much.

The property is clean, tidy and has the benefit of a dedicated parking space, ideal if you want to explore the surrounding areas like we did. It's close to the shops, pubs and restaurants too. Definitely recommended!
