About this property

Windermere Crescent is a fantastic, two-bedroom, second-floor apartment located in the bustling town of Windermere in Cumbria. In the heart of the Lake District National Park and just a short walk away from Lake Windermere, Crescent View is a lovely dog-friendly lodging for couples or a family of four and their canine companion on their holiday to the Lakes. Step inside the well-equipped kitchen, which includes a dishwasher, and look forward to concocting delicious meals for your loved ones, ready to be enjoyed over a bottle of wine at the dining table for four. After dinner, gather your guests on the plush sofa where you can enjoy a family movie night on the Smart TV. Wash away the day with a revitalising rinse in the large walk-in shower, before catching your rest in one of two well-presented bedrooms, a king-size and a twin. If you'd rather not cook, take advantage of your convenient location and visit one of the many nearby pubs and eateries, such as The Pig, Francine's, or Brown Sugar. Convenience stores and supermarkets are also readily available for those times when you'd rather stock up on fresh goods and prepare mouth-watering meals in the comfort of Windermere Crescent. Lake Windermere is an outdoor enthusiast's haven, with kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding among the activities on offer; if that's not your thing, why not climb to the vantage points of Queen Adelaide's Hill and Orrest Head, where you can take in the views of the Langdale Pikes. This stylish apartment is ideally situated for a quick break away, and is a short walk away from Windermere train and bus station, perfect for exploring all The Lakes has to offer without a car. The Windermere Jetty Museum and The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction are two of the most popular attractions in the town, right on your doorstep. A short drive from Ambleside will bring you to the remarkable ruins of a Roman fort from the 2nd- century, as well as a nature trail that leads to the picturesque Stock Ghyll Force, a 70-foot waterfall. Continue on to Grasmere, where you may tour William Wordsworth's former home or take a stroll through Rydal Cave's steppingstones. Windermere Crescent is the ideal base for an unforgettable Lakes getaway.

The twin villages of Bowness and Windermere, located in the Lake District, are both dynamic, fun-filled destinations. Both towns provide a wide variety of services, shops, and restaurants, but Ambleside's extra attractions include a boat excursion to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium, and Beatrix Potter's 'Hilltop House' near Sawrey, as well as the Lake District National Park. It is only a short drive away from the city centre, and the Grizedale Forest Park offers a variety of activities, including hiking, biking, and the "Go Ape" adventure park. A number of National Trust estates and water sports are also available to thrill-seekers in the area.

Conveniently located and within 1 min walk to supermarkets, restaurants and pubs. Would have been perfect with a washing machine. Highly recommend.

  • Carol

Comfy and clean. Great base to explore the Lakes, either walking directly up the hill to the lovely views of Orrest Head, or catching the open top bus to beautiful villages and mountains. Apartment is close to good restaurants and shops too and only a 10 minute walk from Windermere rail station.
