Guests say

Dalesway Cottage is praised for its immaculate presentation, cosy ambience, and prime location close to Bowness and local walks. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities, modern bathroom, and the added touch of a playroom. The garden and conservatory are also highlights, despite some minor maintenance issues noted.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of guests found the cottage to be spotlessly clean, with only a few isolated comments on areas needing attention, such as cupboard cleanliness and a blocked shower drain. The overall impression is of a well-maintained property.

The cottage's location is highly valued for its proximity to Bowness, local attractions, and walking routes. The quiet setting is frequently mentioned, although the steep hill access is noted as challenging for some.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy log burner and a well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests mention issues with the heating and bed size, suggesting room for improvement in overall comfort.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the kitchen and bathroom. However, points are deducted for reported maintenance issues such as door locks, heating, and a need for clearer waste disposal instructions.

While guests do not consistently mention gifts, the lack of welcome amenities such as biscuits or toiletries is noted. It is politely stated that while such gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed and vary by stay.

It was well equipped. The playroom was great for our 5 year old. Great private parking right outside the cottage. Pleasant walk into the centre using the private road down. We had a problem on the first night with the shower. The trap didn't drain so the water came over the shower tray and leaked through the sealant into the lounge. Phoned the maintenance team and they were out within an hour. They sorted it (trap full of hair) Cleaners?

Walks from the door so didn't always need to use the car. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Conservatory was a bonus even when the weather was a little grey.
