It was warm & clean. Some of the crockery & pans were not cleaned properly by previous occupants. The two single beds were comfortable but the couple in the double said it was not so good. A few microwavable dishes would be useful too. I would stay here again it is very accessible for lots of walks, cycling & swimming.

Good value for money though would consider it on the pricier side, though possibly due to high season in the first week of August. The location is fab, as the lodge is on the outskirts of the park, essentially in the wood area and with less traffic. White Cross Bay is easily reachable without the car (our case)- we paid 7£ for a 10min taxi ride from Windermere train station but there are buses too (though 3£ per person). The property is cozy but rather on the small side- not a problem for us as just two people with a small dog. Biggest challenge for us was the beds size as we're both 6'4" but made good use of both bedrooms for that (i.e. putting the two beds together in the second bedroom and sleeping diagonally

Well kept clean and very warm. Nice location with a wood at the rear for a quick short walk with the dogs or 5 minutes to the woodland walk and lake launching are. Nothing negative to post about the lodge, all positives. Many thanks and would recommend and book again when visiting the lakes. Many thanks
