Pottergill is a well-appreciated cottage in Windermere, praised for its prime location, tasteful decoration, and the luxury of a hot tub. Guests have enjoyed the property's proximity to local amenities and the added comfort of Sky Q and a well-equipped kitchen. While some maintenance issues and cleanliness concerns have been noted, the overall experience remains positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. While some guests found the property spotless, others reported issues such as dust, hair, and unclean kitchenware. The inconsistency suggests room for improvement in cleaning standards.
The location is highly praised for being central, quiet, and convenient, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and local attractions. It is considered a perfect base for exploring Windermere and the surrounding countryside.
Guests have found the cottage comfortable, with cosy reception areas and a warm homely feel. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable beds and issues with temperature control in certain rooms, slightly affecting the overall comfort.
Facilities like the hot tub, Sky Q, and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but there have been several reports of maintenance issues such as broken furniture, appliance malfunctions, and inadequate cooking utensils for larger groups.
While some guests mentioned a welcome pack and Christmas decorations, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtful gestures like gifts across all reviews. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such amenities will be provided.
