We enjoyed our stay at Troutbeck 7, White Cross Bay very much, the lodge had everything you needed for your stay and more, the only niggle I had was the mould along bottom of shower door which could have been addressed easily, on our first morning before making our cooked breakfast I had to clean the grill pan which had clearly been used and left by the previous occupants, and an empty coke bottle under one of the single beds, none of these things deterred us from having a very pleasant break or from booking again in the future.

It was ideal for parking two cars also the outside space would have been ideal but didnât get to use it because of the weather. The instructions were very straightforward for collecting the keys. There were only a few negatives about the property. The double bed was a little uncomfortable as the sheet kept coming off the mattress. The blinds in the bathrooms were quite dusty and also some of the glasses werenât clean.

It seemed more like a static caravan in size, compared to the other lodges that we have stayed on on this site, neverthe less it was big enough and comfortable. The mold on the shower door could have been removed using Kilrock spray and the grill had to be balanced on oven pans to cook breakfast.
