No smoking!. A modern town house in the centre of popular Bowness, Treetops is ideally placed for a centrally based holiday with plenty of amenities to hand to suit all the family. The town is teeming with an eclectic mix of restaurants for all palates, shops for all pockets and attractions for all ages and with Lake Windermere just minutes walk from the property, guests can also enjoy one of many waterborne activities - why not take a trip on the world famous steamers or hire a rowing boat for a couple of hours?
Treetops is set over three floors, the accommodation very flexible with two lounge rooms, both with TV’s, great if you have teenagers in your party who like some space of their own. The middle floor comprises of the bedroom and main bathroom area, all delightfully presented in their own unique style with co-ordinating fabrics and accessories. The main living area on the second floor is spacious and sociable with deep cushioned leather seating and stylish decor, the room leading out onto a balcony big enough for five, further adding to that holiday feel and great for enjoying meals al fresco.

The property is in three levels; 1) Ground floor with TV and one of the two bathrooms is a good area for kids probably, or perhaps those who like to skulk away. There is not much air circulation on this ground floor, so will need to open bathroom window, noting this is a security point, so be careful to lock when going out.2) Middle floor is three bedrooms (two doubles and one single) and separate bathroom, no separate toilet, OK for one couple but for a family there will be a bathroom pressure. The bedrooms are very nice, with good wardrobes, beds, very comfortable and quiet at night. Bathroom clean and convenient, good shower. Can't fault the middle floor.3) Top floor, large open kitchen - dining - sitting room with big TV, and balcony (that opens above the main road so can be a bit noisy, but is hidden from view behind trees, so generally OK). Cooking facilities very good; table for dining very good; sofas with powered leg raisers are extremely comfortable, very nice. Only problem we had was the TV and Freesat box; the owners very kindly came and sorted it, but after a couple of days we again weren't able to make the "on demand" setting work, but live TV is OK, so it depends what you need. Wifi works very well. Note: Unless we missed it, there was no washing machine (at least, we couldn't find one).Parking: room for one car; the instructions say there is a diagram in the guide book, but there isn't one. Anyway you just have to park directly opposite the front door of the property, in the middle of the parking area, but park close to the fence so others can pass. Theoretically there is parking on the street but it gets filled up with cars who don't want to pay for the big car park opposite (don't blame them, parking costs in these car parks throughout the Lakes are WAY TOO HIGH). So if you have more than one car, you may have to squeeze into a space in the road, otherwise no problemSummary: comfortable, convenient, good facilities and a good price. Have a nice time, we did.
