This compact first floor holiday apartment is tucked away quietly but is just 50 metres from the bustle of Bowness’ high street which offers a wide selection of restaurants, pubs and interesting shops. Comfortably furnished and fitted it has a balcony with views towards Claife Heights. The lake is a pleasant 5 minute stroll from where you can take a cruise up to Ambleside or enjoy numerous water sports. There is a huge variety of activities and attractions nearby. Excellent public transport covering most of the Lake District enables visitors to be car free. Shops and pubs 55 yards.

We had a lovely weeks holiday in August 2026. The flat is ideally situated close to Bowness on Windermere Pier it has a nice balcony. There is loads to do in area, various boat trips, bus trips, museums and beautiful scenery. On the negative side, the parking is an issue, with no allocated space it is pot luck. The car park barrier was not locked during our stay and the car park appeared to be used by all and sundry. Wi Fi was not available it the flat. The television repeated lost signal and had to be retuned. The access roads into the site were very narrow. Would we stay here again. Despite its reasonable cost, No.

You get what you pay for when staying at this Cottage. Good location, comfortable, kitchen well equipped. Not there is no WiFi.
