The cottage was lovely and super spacious, many places we have stayed before are the size of the bedroom here alone! The hosts were nice and left both a small welcome package of food and drink supplies for us but also a small gift for our son too, which was very kind and thoughtful. We enjoyed the hot tub, which is something we always look for during a cottage break.Unfortunately my wife had to work unexpectedly and while the internet was reliable for the first few days, for the back half of our stay it proved to be less reliable. The other main challenge was the heating, but only in the kitchen / diner. With a young child, we didn't want to use the log stove, and the single radiator in that room was insufficient for the space. We also had to contact the hosts to control the heating which wouldn't be my preferred arrangement, I'd prefer to be self-sufficient ideally. They did provide a small electric heater which helped but didn't fully solve the problem in that room in all honesty.I'm sure that a stay for guests with less dependance on the WiFi or heating would have been 5* as it is a lovely accomodation and hosts.P.S. While a known issue based in the notice under the kitchen sink, waiting for enough hot water to wash up tests the patience of a saint, which is odd given that the water pressure to the cold tap is great, as is the water flow in the bath / shower.

Outstanding accommodation with lovely host . A true home from home experience with everything provided and if anything needed the host would help 💯 % even with great recommendations on where to eat and visit . Would happily recommend to friend and family if you like the home from home cottage with the extra of being designed beautifully with little extra touches .
