The Haybarn offers a peaceful rural retreat in beautiful surroundings, with guests frequently praising the tranquil setting, friendly and helpful owners, and the well-equipped, clean accommodation. Many enjoyed the wildlife, gardens, and relaxing atmosphere. While some noted minor issues such as limited storage, occasional noise from the upstairs apartment, and basic starter supplies, the overall experience was highly positive, making it an ideal spot for a restful countryside break.
Cleanliness is consistently praised, with multiple guests describing the cottage as spotless, very clean, and well-presented. Only rare minor comments were made, such as towels being a bit hard, but no significant cleanliness concerns were raised.
The rural, secluded location is a highlight for most guests, who appreciated the peaceful countryside, wildlife, and gardens. Some found the remoteness and single-track lanes challenging, but this was generally seen as part of the charm.
Guests found the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, with a great shower and warm atmosphere. A few mentioned the double bedroom being small and the double bed less comfortable, but overall comfort was rated highly.
The cottage is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, good shower, and ample parking. Some guests noted minor maintenance issues (e.g., worn cooker markings, limited storage, WiFi problems, and basic starter supplies), but most found everything needed for a pleasant stay.
Owners are frequently described as friendly, welcoming, and helpful, with several guests appreciating their assistance and local advice. While some reviews mention thoughtful touches, such as different coloured towels, there is no mention of gifts or welcome packs; therefore, gifts cannot be guaranteed.

More thought needed on house keeping. Towels and bedding not changed in the 12 days we stayed. I had to ask for a kitchen bin bag. Important to me.
Maggie
Lovely garden with small stream. Everything provided. Enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

We had no one in the apartment upstairs so it was particularly quiet. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Good sized shower cubicle. Private bit of garden. Good location for touring. We went to Norwich, Ely, Wells-next-the-sea,Blickling Hall and each was around 40-60 minutes driving through lovely countryside.
