Appletree Cottage is the perfect place for one or two couples to escape and although secluded it is only one mile away from Burnham Market village centre and just a ten-minute drive to north Norfolk's best beaches at Brancaster and Holkham.

Appletree Cottage is a wonderful place to spend a long weekend, a midweek stay or even a few weeks, to allow yourself to wind down and escape from everyday life. With relaxation at its heart, this New England inspired Norfolk cottage is quiet and peaceful and offers a calming environment to allow you to re-charge and kick-back.

Thoughtfully renovated in a contemporary style, it is both spacious and light and features white interiors with pops of colour and statement lighting. On entering the cottage to the rear, the hallway leads you into the stunning bespoke kitchen/dining area with French doors opening out onto the garden. The well-equipped designer kitchen comes with an Everhot stove, kitchen island with stools, smart television and a feature fireplace with wood burning stove, perfect for enjoying pre-dinner drinks. There is also a dining table seating six, making this room perfect for socialising and relaxing, particularly as it opens up onto the pretty and sheltered outside terrace with a covered pergola. The limestone floors extend throughout the ground floor and into the garden room where there is ample comfortable seating and a further wood burning stove and underfloor heating. This vaulted space affords wonderful views of the garden and surrounding countryside and is bright and light even on the dullest day. On the ground floor you will also find a small cloakroom/utility room with a washing machine. Upstairs on the first floor, the cottage boasts two stylish King-size bedrooms. The master bedroom to the front features a small en-suite shower room plus built in wardrobe, whilst the second bedroom to the rear is served by a larger bathroom with statement free-standing bath.

Outside there are two sheltered patio areas both capturing the summer sun, and parking for two-three cars on a private gravel driveway to the rear. The wrap-around garden affords plenty of privacy and the property sits peacefully in a natural valley at the end of a small private loke, hidden away behind hedges, yet the cottage is just a short 500-yard stroll to The White House ‘Acre Restaurant’ where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner and some of the finest local produce and fine wines. If you love eating out, then there are some fabulous restaurants to enjoy in the area. Book early to enjoy dinner at Socius, recently awarded AA Restaurant of the Year 2022-2023, No.Twenty9 which serves excellent food, wine and rums, or eat and drink at the famous Hoste Arms. Other restaurants include the Duck Inn at Stanhoe, or The White Horse in Brancaster Staithe where you can watch the sun go down from their award-winning restaurant or marshside bar, looking across the marsh to Scolt Head Island.

Make the most of your proximity to the coast, check the tide times and head to Burnham Overy Staithe or Brancaster Staithe, both a five-minute drive away to swim or paddleboard before breakfast or before the sun goes down. Wildlife enthusiasts will adore the surrounding countryside and coastal paths which are abundant with birds, flora and fauna.
