The position of this cottage is unique and a little quirky, we absolutely loved it. Everything works well and the cottage has a romantic atmosphere. We used the bedroom with the en suite that had the shower. The bed was comfortable, it was quiet and the shower works well. The roll top bath in the other bedroom was perfect, it fills quickly and fits two people comfortably. The kitchen is well equipped with a comfortable round table to dine at. We cooked four meals over the eight nights we stayed with no problems. (The temperature setting on the oven dial was hard to read, you may need your glasses on or use a torch). The dish washer was great, we took our own tabs but there was a good supply there. The living room was cosy and warm and the log burner almost too hot but great. The TV reception was perfect, we loved our evenings in there. Sitting out at the back for breakfast on a sunny morning was very pleasant. We would certainly rent this cottage again.

What a wonderful cottage. I spent 5 days there with my elderly Mum, who adored it. Totally quiet, very serene and the cottage had everything one could want for a restful time away. So much to do in the surrounding areas - you won't be bored.

Castle Acre is a beautiful village, fantastic location for lovely long and short walks with the ruins of the castle and the priory close. The cottage was lovely, we stayed there for a quiet Christmas retreat and were delighted that the cottage had been decorated and had a fantastic Christmas Tree. The wood burning stove was great, there was plenty of hot water and heating was very efficient. We felt very welcome and certainly would stay again in spring or summer. A very comfortable cottage.
