Located in the village of Docking, The Old School House is a lovely conversion with contemporary attention to detail, with several features from the original school remaining. Decorated in a country style, and surrounded by a fully enclosed garden, this hideaway benefits from being just a short drive from the stunning coast.
Several original features of the old school remain; the big red arched front door and tiled floors in the hallway. The ground floor is spacious with two sitting rooms, a good-sized kitchen and bright garden/dining room. Equally perfect for a romantic short break or a relaxing family holiday, this lovely cottage offers flexible accommodation and a fully enclosed garden, ideal for children and dogs. The bright well-equipped kitchen incorporates all the mod cons and there is a washer/dryer in the utility room which is also perfect for storing boots, coats and makes the perfect place for your four-legged friends to lay their heads after a busy day running on the beach. You will enjoy restful nights in one of the four bedrooms, which includes a master bedroom en-suite, with king-size bed and large walk-in shower. The family bathroom comes with a decadently deep freestanding contemporary bath and separate walk-in shower - perfect for washing those sandy toes and enjoying a relaxing soak.
With fabulous walking from the cottage or nearby on Barrow Common at Brancaster Staithe, don't forget to bring your walking boots. Cycle Route No.1 goes through the village too, so enjoy cycling the narrow lanes full of poppies and wildflowers during the warmer months, and spectacular skeins of geese in the winter, plus you will be rewarded with glorious elevated views of the coast.
Situated in the centre of the village of Docking, on a tree-lined road overlooking the village church, this is a perfect location for exploring the whole of the North Norfolk coast. Very nice house. Well equipped and perfect for our group (3 adult couples and 3 dogs). Secure garden with barbecue and comfortable garden furniture was great as weather was very kind for Easter. Well placed for beaches at Brancaster and Holkham (amongst others). Close to Sandringham estate and Burnham Market. Good off road parking for three. Village centre location so some traffic noise from time to time. Local shop well stocked and convenient.

We had a fantastic holiday at The Old School House. Everything was perfect inside and outside. The home had everything needed for an enjoyable holiday. Good area too to explore beautiful Norfolk. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic property. We had a wonderful family break after Christmas. Would definitely recommend & would stay again. Very comfortable & cosy. Lovely private, secure garden, which the children used a lot & would be great in the warmer months with the barbecue & outdoor furniture they had. Amazing kitchen/dining/lounge space which kept us all âtogetherâ. Full Sky TV package was really appreciated too. Plenty of provision for our 5-night stay; very well stocked with kitchen utensils, crockery & cutlery. Extra bedding too. About a 10-minute drive to Hunstanton & Brancaster⦠a wonderful coastline & huge beaches that we all enjoyed.
