This delightful cottage forms part of the former vicarage in the charming village of Flitcham on the Sandringham Estate. The royal residence of Sandringham House is located just 2 miles away and is open to the public, offering a fantastic day out, with acres of beautiful gardens to explore, and a museum which houses an array of royal artefacts. Other attractions nearby include Holkham Hall, Houghton Hall (10 mins by car) and Castle Acre Priory. You can also explore the breath taking Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Wash National Nature Reserve, rspb Titchwell, Blakeney Point, and plenty of charming market towns and villages including King s Lynn, Burnham Market and Fakenham.
The stunning Norfolk coastline is just a 20 minute drive away. On entering this delightful cottage, built in 1850 from local carrstone, an entrance hall with a stone floor will take you through to the charming kitchen/diner. Fully equipped with an AGA style style style oven, washing machine, fridge and microwave, the kitchen also features a small dining area. Exploring the ground floor further you will find a cosy bedroom with a comfy king size bed with Egyptian cotton sheets and plenty of storage space. There is also a bathroom complete with a roll top bath, walk in shower and WC.
Going upstairs you will find the first floor comprises a spacious open plan lounge/bedroom. At one end is a comfortable and welcoming lounge area, complete with plenty of comfy seating, a traditional wood burner, Smart TV and DVD. At the other end is a sleeping area with a king size bed again with Egyptian cotton sheets. There are beautiful views over fields and the lovely Norfolk countryside. Stepping outside, you will find an enclosed garden with lawn, shrubs and mature trees which adjoins the formal Vicarage gardens and offers views of the church. A wall surrounds the Vicarage and encloses the garden as well.
Pretty garden furniture is provided for you to sit and enjoy sunny days and evening drinks. The quiet roads are ideal for walking and cycling, and the Sandringham apple orchards are a very short walk away. Off road parking is available for two cars on a gravel drive.
