Guests appreciate its ideal location for exploring attractions and beaches, as well as the cosy and well-equipped accommodation. The cottage's garden and local village amenities add to the charm, although parking for larger vehicles can be tight.

Cleanliness

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is 'spotlessly clean' and 'beautifully clean', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

Location

The location is frequently praised for being ideal for visiting local sites and beaches, with a good village pub and amenities nearby, suggesting a very favourable position.

Comfort

The cottage is described as 'comfortable', 'cosy', and 'well maintained', with comfortable beds and a pleasant garden area. There is a minor note about indoor seating not being as comfortable, but overall, the comfort level is rated highly.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being described as 'well equipped'. However, there are minor criticisms such as the lack of a hose and broom for the garden and a television in the bedroom, leading to a slightly lower score.

Complete fun-filled days with a relaxing soak in the sleek bathroom, housing a bath and shower over to suit all guests. Three bedrooms have their own unique theme, solid wooden beds and industrial-style lighting; choose between two doubles and a single, each with storage space and a high-quality finish. The peaceful village of Snettisham is a superb location along Norfolk's coast; a convenience store, two pubs, an antique shop, The Old Store Café and The Old Bank, an excellent restaurant, are all just around the corner. As featured on BBC's Springwatch, 'Wild Ken Hill' is within walking distance of Joy's Cottage, a 4,000-acre rewilding and regenerative agricultural project, welcoming dog walkers and nature lovers alike. Snettisham Beach is also nearby, home to an internationally renowned RSPB nature reserve attracting keen bird watchers every year to see the migrations across the continent! A little further along the Norfolk Coast AONB are the stunning beaches of Holme, Holkham and Blakeney, all scattered with numerous other wildlife sanctuaries and attractions. Budding historians can visit beautiful National Trust properties such as Oxborough and Blickling Hall, and also Sandringham House and Gardens. Those seeking a little more can visit the bustling cities of Norwich, Cambridge and Ely, whilst The Broads National Park are within driving distance for unforgettable landscapes to explore. However, you wish to spend your holiday, make Joy's Cottage your home-from-home in Norfolk.

Snettisham is a classic Norfolk village. The historic structures are known as "gingerbread houses" throughout the neighbourhood. General stores, a Post Office, two inns, a restaurant, and a regular bus service to the bustling, family-friendly seaside town of Hunstanton and ancient King's Lynn are among the village's facilities. The church of St Mary, which stands alone on top of the hill, is well worth a visit, especially to see the intricately detailed tracery flowers on the west window. The old Peddars Way public footpath runs near the settlement, and there is an rspb bird sanctuary close to the beach.
