So much space surrounds The Granary - it stands in perfect rural seclusion, reached by its own tree-lined avenue, and is set on the edge of the owners’ sheep farm. It boasts a contemporary and calm interior design throughout, and the ground floor rooms are large and light filled. Comfortably furnished and equipped, it makes a superb holiday venue for large families or groups. Large floor-to-ceiling windows, the length of the property, enable outstanding views to be enjoyed across meadowland. From the sofas or the huge dining table, guests can watch sheep grazing lazily in the fields, observe the wildlife on the busy farm pond (fenced), and spot the barn owls which hunt from ancient oaks. Guests can use the wall-size map of Norfolk to plan days out and about in the surrounding area.
There are walks and trails to enjoy around the farm (with unfenced ponds). The spectacular unspoilt Norfolk coastline and traditional market towns of Swaffham, Ely and Kings Lynn, are within easy reach. Year-round there are activities and attractions for all ages including Church Farm (great place for children to meet the animals) Grimes Graves, Welney Nature Reserve, High Lodge Forest Adventure Park and Norfolk Cycle Way. There is a good cycling network of quiet lanes from the doorstep, and plenty of space to kick a ball, play cricket or practise frisbee skills. Shops, pubs and Oxburgh Hall (NT), 1 mile.

A perfect retreat for a family gathering. Well equipped for cooking for a crowd if you feel like it, together with little extras like cleaning supplies, tea towels etc make this an excellent 5⭐place! Thanks to the owners for our lovely welcome pack & cake😋who are on hand for help & advice if required. A great opportunity to stay together & explore more of beautiful Norfolk in the Granary with it's abundance of wildlife watching 😍

We spent a wonderful week with family at The Granary. Nick was very helpful and the property was well equipped. The downstairs space was generous and bathed in light from the large floor to ceiling windows. The house looks out onto a hay meadow which provided additional outdoor space for strolling and wildlife spotting. Highly recommended.

The Granary is a beautiful and very well equipped place (appreciated the insulated coffee plungers). It's very peaceful with plenty of walks nearby and a good location for day trips. Nick was very friendly and made us feel welcome. It was the perfect place for our big family holiday including 97 year old grandad.
