With open views across the fields to the rear and large gardens and grounds to enjoy, this delightful holiday home is great for a family break. Three bedrooms benefit from en-suites and there is a large hot tub with views of the paddock and open fields where you can relax after a busy day out exploring. The well-equipped kitchen features a centre island with stools around where you can enjoy your morning coffee. The drawing room has three comfortable sofas where guests can relax The bar and games room and hot tub are located in the paddock, just 3 metres from the house. The hot tub sits in a gravelled area, with tables and chairs positioned outside the games room/bar for outdoor seating. Inside the bar, you’ll find a non-professional pool table, a dartboard, and a selection of games for entertainment. The space is also equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, and toilet for convenience.
The historic town of King’s Lynn is just 7 miles away with its market square and picturesque riverside; visitors will find shops, pubs and restaurants in abundance. Golf, riding and fishing are close by. Sandy beaches as well as rspb reserves are within half an hour’s drive. North Norfolk has expanses of sandy beaches and salt marshes along the coastline, as well as nature reserves to protect the birds and plants which thrive there. The seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham boast award-winning beaches and an array of traditional seaside activities and attractions for all ages. Hunstanton has a pier with lively seasonal entertainment, Sea Life Centre and cliff-top golf course.
The Sandringham Estate, which is the Queen’s country residence, with its Jacobean-style house, museum, superb gardens and park, is open to the public when the Royal family is not in residence. The market town of Wisbech is 7 miles. Downham Market is 12 miles away with its Friday and Saturday markets and boasts direct rail links to Ely, Cambridge and London. To the south lies Ely Cathedral, known as the ’Ship of the Fens’, standing proudly in the small city of Ely, which has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty waterfront and boat hire. Cambridge is easily accessible for the day and well worth a visit. One of the nicest ways to explore the city is by punt, which meanders through the city and passes many of the stunning university grounds. Norwich is an hour’s drive where a visit to the stunning cathedral is not to be missed. Beach 19½ miles. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 1½ miles.

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Walnut Tree House: Heidi was the perfect host; providing lots of valuable information before we arrived and provided an ideal welcome pack for our arrival. The layout was ideal for our three families and the space provided ensured that we had a great time together. The Hot Tub and the games room were a big bonus which everyone enjoyed. I'd like to say that the owner was very helpful in sorting out any issues and places to eat etc. The accommodation itself could do with some TLC so if you see cream carpets in the picture don't be to concerned as they do need a clean and personally I think that there needs to be cupboard space to store your groceries, we were a big party of people and needed food storage. We left most of it over work surfaces. Was nice to get a welcoming basket of food thank you for that, I also want to point out the road is fairly busy and if you have pets or young children make sure the electric gate shuts as its on a sensor timer and was open one morning and we didn't know. The property is a good size, nice to have the games room and hot tub. To go out to eat you really need to drive to the destinations. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Absolutely no complaints regarding Walnut House itself. Very clean and well equipped. Huge garden and the bar and hot tub area is excellent.We had a "drain type" smell come up in a couple of ensuite bathrooms. This was dealt with quickly and efficiently so again no complaints. The location was a little too remote for our requirements but not detrimental to the overall experience. Heidi was always on hand to answer any questions. Thoroughly recommended
