The Georgian town of Holt (4 miles) offers cafes, restaurants and independent shops. At Christmas time, the town is transformed into a winter wonderland with its fabulous lights and decorations. Book ahead for visits to the famous Thursford Christmas Spectacular (10 miles), and Sheringham Steam Railway’s stunning Christmas Norfolk Lights Express (4 miles). The 15th-century Baconsthorpe Castle is free to visit during daylight hours (1 mile). Visit the nearby traditional pub for good food and ales.
