Sky Lark in Cromer offers stunning sea views and a central location convenient for the beach and shops. Guests appreciate the light, airy flat and the helpful, communicative host. While the decor reflects the property's age, the charm of the place and its proximity to local attractions make it a popular choice.
The property has received comments about musty smells and a lack of thorough cleaning, such as stained carpets and dirty window ledges. However, the host was responsive to cleaning issues when raised.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to the town, beach, and quietness despite being central. The convenience of not needing a car and having parking available is a significant plus.
The flat is described as light and airy, providing a comfortable environment. However, some guests noted the property could be cramped for larger groups, suggesting it's more suitable for up to four people.
The flat is well-equipped and benefits from sunlight warming the rooms. However, the dated decor and the need for pound coins for the electric meter are noted. Maintenance issues like peeling wallpaper and rusty heaters are mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches from the host in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess this category.

The location is brilliant. The decor is in need of updating. Smells musty,, especially in the bedrooms. The wallpaper joins are opening up, the cushions are old and grubby. The old heaters are stained and rusty. Window frames need painting. Carpet is stained. One window ledge was covered in ground in bird poo when we arrived. I gave my feedback to Alan, the owner and he came in and cleaned the bird poo off the window ledge. He said that he had prioritised paying for a fire escape rather than decorating the flat. I realise from other reviews that some people are not bothered by the standard of flat but we thought it was below what we expect from a holiday let. We cleared up at the end of our stay and left the place tidy but did not have the time or the inclination to strip the beds as suggested in the flat instructions. We were on holiday and asume that part of the price of payment is for a cleaner who should do that. The view is fantastic.

Great location not requiring constant use of car. Excellent location near to town & beach , with parking , yet still quite quiet. Very helpful host, accesible host. Elderly or infirm should be aware on 2nd floor with considerable steps .

The flat is light and airy with some of the best views in Cromer looking out to sea and acros to the pier. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The central location made it very convenient for the beach and the shops yet it was quiet at night due to the bedrooms being located at the side. The car park at the rear was handy and there was also parking on the road to the front of the building. It is an older property and the decor and furnishings reflect that. There was a pay meter for the electric but we did not need to spend too much on this as the electric heaters were not required during our stay. The flat gets plenty of sunlight due to the large windows which warmed the room nicely.
