Guests say

Hollyhedge Cottage is a characterful property with a well-stocked kitchen, lovely gardens, and a cosy sitting room with a log fire. It is situated in a quiet village, ideal for exploring North Norfolk. While some guests found the cottage to be clean and well-appointed, others noted issues with cleanliness and dated decor. The steep stairs and bedroom access may not suit everyone, but the cottage is generally seen as comfortable and well-equipped for a relaxing stay.

Reviews on cleanliness are mixed. While some guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, others reported issues with dust, a full hoover, and remnants of previous occupants. The negative experiences seem to be in the minority, suggesting that cleanliness is generally maintained to a good standard, but there is room for improvement.

The location of Hollyhedge Cottage is highly praised for being quiet and ideal for exploring the North Norfolk coast. The village of Briston offers necessary amenities and is well-placed for country parks and beaches. The positive comments suggest that the location meets the expectations of most guests.

Comfort receives positive remarks for cosy and warm settings, especially with the open fire. However, some guests mentioned uncomfortable sofas and the inconvenience of accessing the second bedroom through the first. The steep stairs and the layout may not be suitable for everyone, impacting the overall comfort for some guests.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and a maintained garden. Criticisms include dated appliances, a broken shower holder, and the lack of a dishwasher. The presence of games and DVDs is appreciated, but some guests noted long-standing maintenance issues.

There is insufficient information in the reviews to assess the level of thoughtfulness in terms of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts. No reviews mention gifts, so it cannot be confirmed whether this is a consistent feature of the property.

Very clean, beautiful secure garden, which was very important as we had our dog and he loved to run around. The kitchen was well equipped, our only disappointment was no dishwasher we would have cooked at the cottage more but hate washing up

Great location 10 minutes from Holt and 15 from Blickling. Very clean and well equipped. The ground floor bedroom and bathroom was ideal for my elderly mother. We had a lovely stay at Hollyhedge Cottage for mum’s 90th and would definitely return.

The cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas and felt warm and cosy on arrival. All guests slept in clean, comfortable beds and had a lovely time together, in this lovely home in this lovely village! Will definitely recommend to friends looking to stay in the area. Thank you for making our Christmas super special!
