Guests say

Bell House Stables offers a peaceful rural retreat with comfortable beds, quality kitchen fittings, and a well-equipped interior. Guests appreciate the quiet location, accessibility, and proximity to local attractions. The property is generally warm and inviting, with thoughtful touches and a pleasant outdoor space. Some guests noted issues with cleanliness, bin management, and minor maintenance, but these did not overshadow the overall positive experience. Occasional Wi-Fi and heating challenges were mentioned, but the property remains a popular choice for those seeking relaxation and convenience in the Norfolk countryside.

Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Several guests found the property clean and tidy, while others reported issues such as cobwebs, dust, and insufficient cleaning between stays. Some bathrooms and floors were noted as not being up to standard, and a few guests had to clean upon arrival. However, these concerns were often balanced by positive remarks about the general upkeep.

The location is highly praised for its rural tranquillity, easy access to the coast, the Broads, and Norwich, and proximity to local amenities. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and found it convenient for exploring the area.

Guests consistently highlighted the comfort of the beds, quality linen, and the overall warmth and cosiness of the property. The spacious layout and accessibility features were appreciated, though a few noted the living area could be cramped for larger groups.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and good storage. Some guests mentioned issues with underfloor heating, Wi-Fi, bin capacity, and the lack of certain items like a vacuum cleaner or ironing board. The outdoor space and parking arrangements were mostly positive, though parking could be tight.

Some guests were welcomed with wine and chocolates, which was appreciated, but please note these gifts are not guaranteed. The property features thoughtful touches such as quality linen and pillows, but there were occasional lapses in communication and attention to guest requests.

This makes this a great escape for couples travelling together, two or three families wanting to relax with company or indeed three generations planning an escape to remember. There is much to love about this house, not least of all the Jacuzzi in the private garden, which is the largest one available and offers somewhere special to relax. With a small snug, which has the TV in it and a large living room, with quirky bespoke made metal elephant heads on the wall, this impressive property also has a formal dining room, which is perfect to gather around and raise a toast to old memories while making new ones. The outside is just as special with two and a half acres of private land featuring a small orchard, a wild flower garden, croquet, boules and other outside games. This has been the owner’s own much-loved family home and it shows. It is lived-in luxury, which means that everything is set up for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Set within the grounds but still enjoying a degree of privacy, The Stables at Bell House is a brand new renovation, created by the owners and, like Bell House it offers feature beds. Sleeping four, both the bedrooms are en-suite and one even has a spa bath. It also offers open-plan living and outside you will find an Indian sandstone patio. In fact, you can be sure that no expense has been spared to make this the perfect escape for two couples of a small family. You will be tempted to stay onsite, socialise or relax and unwind but should you venture out you will find yourself within easy reach of the stunning Norfolk Coastline, the famous Norfolk Broads and the fine city of Norwich and so much history and wildlife too. The bedrooms were reasonably sized and comfortable but weren't as spotless as you would expect e.g. dust behind furniture and cobwebs freely visible. Living space was fine for two but would have been too small for 4 people e.g. just a 2-seater sofa and dining chairs. Also, thought there should have been more crockery as we had a total of 6 of everything which wouldn't go far with 4 people.

No towel rails, not windows in bathrooms or radiators or working extractor fans. No draining board in kitchen. Poor lighting. Over complicated difficult 3 area underfloor heating. Cobwebs. Shower floor that never dries out through the week, musty smell. Dishwasher not next to the sink. TV way to large for the room and too high on wall. Rubbish WiFi, especially when the main house occupants are at home (is Wifi shared?) not good when they are streaming.

The property was nice, all good for our needs, a number of beaches within 20min drive, we took our bikes for local exploration. Local co op shop is enough for stocking up.A few things which were disappointing, the boiler needed pressure to get hot water, which the owner has said he will sort, but luckily I knew how to do that every two days, I noticed the tv (wi fi) worked fine until the other property was being used so expect buffing while watching the tv, no live tv, it was annoying. No vacuum cleaner or iron board , small things really .
