This much-loved family home located on the edge of the pretty coastal village of Stiffkey is perfect for a larger family holiday or short break with friends. Within walking distance or a short drive of the beach and providing easy access to the surrounding countryside, it’s a great base for exploring the whole coast.
From the large garden you can enjoy distant sea and countryside views. Although located on the coast road, there is a gated entrance to the rear garden meaning dogs and children are safely tucked away. With ample parking for up to six cars too, this house is great for a relaxed and laid back break away.
Sleeping ten in total over two floors, this large detached property is ideal for two families or groups, with two of the bedrooms on the ground floor; a bunk room with full-size beds and king bedroom; which are linked and served by a small shower room. Upstairs are three further bedrooms; two twin bedrooms, both with full-size 3ft single beds and one king bedroom with spectacular far-reaching marsh/sea views from its huge picture window. All three first floor bedrooms are served by a bathroom which comes with a free-standing bath.
On the ground floor is a large farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room with Aga and separate electric oven/hob, leading into a spacious sitting room with large television and wood burning stove. With plenty of soft seating, this room is ideal to relax in; and with a sun room / study area off this room, you can easily work if you have to, or simply enjoy some quiet time away from the television. There is also a functional conservatory area/rear entrance lobby which also serves as a boot room and utility; perfect for dogs to stay and sleep.
All of the rooms are furnished to a high standard and the fabrics and curtains have been carefully chosen by the owner to compliment their surroundings.
A10-minute walk and you will find yourself in Stiffkey village, where you can enjoy a coffee and homemade cake from the beguiling Stiffkey Stores, almost impossible to visit and and not make a purchase; the young couple who run it have an excellent eye for unique gifts and books, and bake the most wonderful cakes! But if you can avoid temptation, then keep walking and you'll reach the beach, only a 20 minute walk or short 5 minute drive away. There is a very good village pub, The Red Lion which is walkable too. Cycle or drive to Wells-next-the-Sea, where there is everything you could possibly need; an award-winning beach, colourful beach huts, a pine forest, bustling high street with shops, cafes, restaurants and a quay where the children can enjoy crabbing, or gillying, as it's known locally!
