Guests have had a delightful stay at The Cricket Pavilion, praising its cosy atmosphere, comfortable bed, and peaceful location amidst natural beauty. The property is well-maintained, clean, and offers lovely views. The hot tub is a highlight, though it requires time to heat up. The local pub is within walking distance and comes recommended. The host's responsiveness and helpfulness add to the positive experience.
The property is consistently described as clean and well-presented, indicating high standards of cleanliness.
The location is appreciated for its natural beauty, peacefulness, and proximity to local attractions, though one mention of the area not being secure for curious dogs slightly impacts the score.
The comfort of the bed is frequently highlighted, and guests report a restful stay even during a storm, suggesting a very comfortable setting.
Facilities like the hot tub and powerful shower are well-received, but one instance of a hot water issue, which was promptly resolved, slightly lowers the score.
While the host's recommendations and responsiveness are praised, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would fall under 'thoughtfulness'. Therefore, this score is set to null.
This old cricket pavilion has been brought back to life; with views of paddocks and just a mile inland from the North Norfolk Coast. This glamping style hideaway has direct access to both, the coastal path and the village pub which offers the perfect place to relax and unwind. For an additional touch of luxury, you can add to your stay the wood-fired hot tub.
Inside The Old Cricket Pavilion you are greeted by a warm and cosy living area - all with quirky cricket touches, so you never forget the interesting past of this bijou bolthole. Wide windows line one side, giving you views across rolling paddocks from every aspect of the pavilion. There is a super-king bed at one end with hand crafted cricket ball lamps on either side. There are two wicker chairs and an old Singer table for those evenings when you wish to dine inside, or watch something on the smart television. The kitchen has a hidden under-counter fridge with icebox, double electric hob and sink. There is even a Nespresso machine for a morning coffee on the decking. The bathroom has a wide shower, basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Stepping outside, there is a decked area with wooden chairs to sit with a drink and good book. Down the steps is a lawned area to the front and a decked area hidden to the side with a wood-fired hot tub and table and chairs. There is a small firepit which can also be used as a barbecue for those alfresco dinners. The village pub, The Three Horseshoes is only 250 meters away and there is a small path direct to the back of the pub from the pavilion. The beautiful North Norfolk coast is also accessible directly from the property; you can walk down the owner’s driveway and join the coastal path at Stiffkey marshes.

Really cosy, well thought out accommodation in a peaceful setting. I was concerned that we might be caught cold but the heating is very effective and we were very comfortable. It was lovely to look out over the field ( and cricket pitch) and see horses, squirrels, birds and beautiful trees. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the local pub where we had an excellent evening meal. Best to book as it’s very popular. In summary we were very pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this accommodation.
