David's Island is a well-situated cottage in Norwich offering a peaceful setting with lovely views, ideal for fishing and walking into town. Guests appreciate the location and the potential for a comfortable stay, though some feel the property could benefit from updates and a thorough cleaning.
Several reviews mention a lack of cleanliness, including dirty floors, musky smells, and unclean appliances. The property seems to require a deep clean and better maintenance to meet guests' expectations.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, proximity to water, and ease of access to Wroxham. Guests enjoy the convenience of fishing from the patio and the short walk into town.
Guests find the cottage comfortable overall, but some reviews note that the beds are broken and noisy, and the property feels 'tired'. Comfort is compromised by the need for updates and repairs.
The facilities are described as basic and in need of maintenance. Issues with broken decking, appliances needing cleaning, and a lack of essentials like soap and dishwashing tablets are noted.
While a welcome gift is mentioned positively in one review, there is insufficient information to assess the consistency of thoughtfulness across all stays. As such, it cannot be guaranteed for future guests.
