Very welcomeing, cosy relaxing property.Well equipped High house is not directly close to cliffs but if your visiting with children or pets the owner does make you aware to be careful.Access to the beach is made safer via the new ramp on to the beach. There is a pay and display carpark at that point but you could easily walk to the beach, about a 15 minute walk. The ramp onto the beach could be a problem if you have mobility issues.Going back to High house, the stairs are typical windy cottage stairs so not good for small children or if you have mobility issues, the owner is up front about this.Typically it is an old cottage and the upstairs shower is sufficient only.We were comfortable and made welcome.Happisburgh has one pub,The hill house inn, for us it didnt appeal but we did not visit so we cannot comment.High house is lovelybut i would say be aware of the cliffs and access to the beach and cottage stairs can be difficult for some.

This is a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. The surroundings are absolutely perfect for relaxing overlooking the open countryside or walking along the Norfolk coastal path and the lovely quiet beach 5 minutes walk away . The local pub in the village is a gem and a 10 minute walk. Everywhere around is very dog friendly so we didn't have to worry where to go with ours. High house is a great base for either just chilling or exploring the beauty of North Norfolk. We will definitely be back.
