On first appearance everything looked lovely. But some areas need a good clean.NO FREEZER!!! Fridge was not cold enough!! We lost a lot of food. Bed throw in double room had large stains and hairs on, which was such a shame because bed sheets were crisp white. Beds were amazing had a great sleep! Rug is very stained around edges, hoover was broke. 2 white cushions in lounge were covered in dog hairs. Some saucepans were not usable as they were not induction. They said there would be wood for one time use of fire but none on arrival. Netflix did not work- suggest taking your own stick or DVDs. There is a cottage connected that’s also rented out. You can hear everything. So I was very conscious of making noise. Overall we made the most of it but would not go back unless fridge freezer is fixed and cleaning issues sorted.

The location was perfect down a little wooded lane with fantastic views of the countryside. There was a great bakery just 5 minutes walk away and a large supermarket a 5 minute drive. On the face of it the kitchen was well equipped but everything was a little tired. There was a real mis mash of plates and cups and the saucepans were very old. The oven took an age to heat up and the cooking tins were well used. There were cobwebs in many places both in the living area and up the stairs. Also the carpet in the living area was very dirty and stained. Upstairs the beds were very comfortable with good quality bedding. We had a two year old with us and only a travel cot was available which was not great - a proper cot or cot bed would have been better as there was plenty of room. Also the shower in en-suite in the main bedroom leaked. Saying all of this we have an enjoyable stay as it was a lovely house it just needs some care and attention and a good clean.

Beautiful location, advertised for 8people and beds comfy and clean. Speedy response to fix smoke alarm battery after bleeping all night. Kitchen not equipped for 8, chipped cracked china, 1 egg cup, kettle spout rusty, teapot filthy. No cleaning materials other than dishwasher pods and washing up liquid. Had to request table mats and useable frying pans. Freezer needed defrosting. Personally only used en-suite, shower enclosure leaked, toilet seat loose, sink plunger didn’t work, loo brush broken and tap had slow drip. Cobwebs could be seen in many places, sideboard in lounge broken. Wasps nest just outside 2nd bedroom window. Appreciate rental property but more attention to detail required.
