Happisburgh village offers village shop, pub serving good food, and lighthouse, open on Sundays during the main summer season, where visitors can view its workings and enjoy the fantastic views. Attractions for all can be found at the seaside resorts of Cromer and Sheringham, half an hours drive, with Blue Flag Award sandy beaches, pier, promenade gardens, golf courses, Splash swimming pool and Poppyline Steam Railway, journeys through beautiful countryside and neighbouring coastal villages onto Holt. Norfolk Broads for waterfront cafes, restaurants, boat hire, river trips, fishing (in season) and sailing, 7 miles. Hickling Broad with Wildlife Trust nature reserve, 6 miles. This property is not "SQUEAKY CLEAN". When we arrived we were prepared to overlook a few shortcomings regarding cleanliness - cobwebs and spiders in most rooms, dirty cooker handles and kitchen window sills. Kitchen worktops were not thoroughly cleaned and there was dog slobber on both the living & dining room windows. A used tissue was found next to the downstairs bed. HOWEVER, on our second night we were shocked to discover a hypodermic needle and paramedic paraphernalia on the floor of our young grandsons bedroom. We reported this to Cottages.com as we were worried that it was unsafe to continue our stay. To their credit they were exceptional in their dealing with this situation. Sadly, I cannot say the same of the owner.

Great location, Cromer, Yarmouth within 40mins. The house was excellent. Well equipped, Lovely garden, and the games room and basketball were well used by all the family and the grandchildren were well impressed. Fishing nearby. Supermarket 15 min drive. You need to make an appointment to go up the lighthouse and church. Would definitely recommend this house. Happisburg is a lovely place for dog walking and the beach was nice too.Great information sent by the owner’s very detailed. Thank you.
