About this property

This exceptional, detached country home is situated in an elevated position, on its own grounds, offering spacious and flexible accommodation for friends and families alike. It is located in a rural location, eight miles south of the vibrant city of Norwich. It has been extended to create modern open-plan rooms with a large kitchen, a dining and sitting room enjoying views to the front and back garden. The kitchen has brand new fittings and white units, with a large breakfast bar. Towards the front of the property there is a sitting room and entrance hall enjoying views out over the front garden.

The sitting room is the perfect space for relaxing with a good book or a film on the comfortable sofas and armchairs provided. Upstairs there is a spacious master family bedroom with views over the front and back of the property. It has a king-size bed with an en-suite shower room. Alongside the master is a spacious twin room with an en-suite shower room. There is an additional double and a single room which share a bathroom. Towards the back of the garden there is a self-contained one bedroom annex with a shower room, housing twin beds and a sitting room.

With all rooms in the annex being at ground floor level, this is ideal for those with limited mobility or a great space for children teenagers to escape to. There is ample off-road parking available. Outside has a private lawned garden with a patio area and furniture provided. Nearby the property is Sandringham House, a country house, it was the private home of Queen Elizabeth II and her father George VI. The house stands in a 20,000-acre estate, offering a museum with displays of royal life, 400 acres of country park and gardens. Also nearby is Bewilderwood, an adventure park for families with treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges, marsh walks and storytelling.

There is something for the whole family here. It is also ideal for exploring both the Norfolk and Suffolk Coastline as well as being perfect for walkers and cyclists alike.     I have serious house envy, 8 adults and 2 children and a dog really comfortable on a very cold weekend, house was warm and welcoming, excellent location, wonderfully quiet, but so close to Norwich and the coast. Everything you could need, kitchen well equipped, cooked a large roast dinner for everyone, super to all sit round the large dining table. Look forward to going in the summer to use the patio and BBQ.

    There was everything you would want and more. All cleaning products, soaps, toilet rolls etc. When ever we've gone self catering we've always had to take our own cleaning products. The only negative was the oven was to small although there was an aga but never used one before. Also the quilt in the small double room was very thin. But otherwise great place to stay with the family.

    Tasteful furnishings and decor. Immediate help when needed from Rob to sort out tripped fuse - thanks. Lovely Christmas trees added to the ambiance. Would recommend and particularly suited to families with children.
