We had a short but lovely stay at The Brambles. We knew the area well but had not visited Horning before. The cottage was clean and welcoming and was perfect for our party of five. We loved all of the history and the character of the cottage and it was good to meet our hosts when we arrived as they were able to show us around and ensure that we knew how to operate the fire, heating and kitchen appliances. Sue gave us some recommendations of things to do during our stay and where to eat. Our favourite part of the weekend was returning after a chilly walk and snuggling down in the lounge in front of the fire. As this was a birthday weekend, we made good use of the games provided, it had been a long time since we played 'pin the tail on the donkey'! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the summer so we can enjoy the lovely garden. Thank you to Richard and Sue.

Lovely cottage in a superb location, perfect for exploring the Broads. The cottage was comfortable and warm. The beds comfortable and lovely pillows and duvet. There is everything you need and it has a nice big garden with Bbq facilities. There is also parking for 2 cars if needed which is a bonus as it is on quite a busy narrow road. We loved the location with a view of the water front and a short walk to coffee shops, gift shops and a nice pub (not recommended by the owners but we found it pleasant enough) Richard greeted us on arrival and showed us around. Instructions for everything were very clear and precise and made settling in easy. I love the fact that it was Richard's childhood home. The only let down was cleanliness. It's an old cottage so a bit of dust and cobwebs was expected but unfortunately the shower wasn't very clean. There were quite a few hairs visible, it looked like it had just been used. Some of the cooking equipment was also dirty. However, once we had a clean up, we enjoyed our stay.It is very reasonable for the location.
