The water beneath the arch once enabled trading wherries to load their wares from above. There is ample mooring space and a dinghy and rowing boat (four life jackets provided), which are ideal for fishing or water excursions. Shop and pub within a quarter of a mile. Norwich is still considered to be the capital of East Anglia and remains attractive and prosperous. The cathedral and castle dominate the city. They lie within easy reach of each other and close to many of the other historic buildings admired by visitors, making this an interesting place to explore on foot. As well as historic interest, Norwich is a shoppers’ paradise, as well as traditional high-street stores and a modern mall, Norwich has many charming specialist shops and a large open-air market. A day out at the seaside is a must for the children, Great Yarmouth offers all the traditional seaside attractions, whilst Caister, a little quieter, has a wide sandy beach and sand dunes. If sailing the Broads beckons, then you can hire a day boat from nearby Wroxham and spend a day on one of the busiest stretches on the Broads, stopping off for a well earned meal in one of the waterside restaurants before heading back to the seclusion of your holiday cottage. It was a lovely holiday but it was supposed to be bunk beds in one of the bedrooms and it was a double !! The dinghy was a bonus even though it was £20 extra

We had a lovely week in Wherry Arch. The location is perfect. Within easy access of all of North Norfolk’s attractions but tucked away out of site - we felt so remote. The garden and the private dyke are the biggest selling point for this house. It was idyllic. We loved chatting to the visiting swans daily and spotting Kingfishers, woodpeckers, deer and even a tawny owl! A short stroll to the local pub with decent food and some great ales, plus a pop-up pizza shed on Friday nights. The inside of the house is a little dated, but was very clean and the beds were comfortable.
