The Wilderness Retreat in Norwich offers a family-friendly environment with a spacious garden, hot tub, and steam room. Guests appreciate the property's comfort and the welcome basket, highlighting its suitability as a base to explore Norfolk. While some maintenance issues are noted, the positive aspects, such as the large lawn and comfortable beds, are often emphasised.

Cleanliness has received mixed feedback. Several guests have reported the property as not being as clean as expected, with specific mentions of dirt under furniture and in the kitchen. However, one review noted the property was immaculately clean, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is generally well-received, being close to Norwich, the Broads, and other attractions. It's described as convenient and peaceful, though some guests noted the proximity to a main road and a golf course, which may affect tranquillity.

Comfort is a strong point for this property, with several reviews praising the comfortable beds and the relaxing outdoor area. However, there are comments about limited seating for the number of guests the property can accommodate.

Facilities like the hot tub and steam room are highlights, but maintenance issues such as chipped crockery, broken appliances, and overgrown gardens detract from the overall experience. The presence of a welcome basket and the utility room are positives.

The provision of a welcome basket has been positively noted, suggesting thoughtfulness. However, it should be mentioned that such gestures are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.

Was a bit concerned from previous reviews but should not have worried. it was wow! From the moment we saw it. Negatives that were mentioned such as a few plates and cups missing or chipped were insignificant. Let me tell you the good stuff.Garden. It's huge and well kept. Lovely lawn with a patios and path made from beautiful white slabs. Hot tub, steam room ,covered seating area and a bar type area with extra fridge and freezer. And a sink- tap not connected possibly due to time of year. Master bedroom is also huge with very comfortable bed. Walk in shower also great. Upstairs massive bed also comfy. Twin beds only suitable for kids really.living room kitchen area is much bigger than it looks in pictures.Log burner works wellSteam room is greatView from hot tub is lovelyHot tub was still crystal clear when we leftWe liked it so much I booked for April next year . I don't usually review but liked this one soon much

A very convenient location, close to Norwich, the Norfolk Broads, and the coast and within easy reach of a large supermarket and several pubs serving good food. The property itself is in an attractive and peaceful setting. The property was clean and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a very good welcome pack. We did feel, however, that there were several things needing attention to improve the experience:A property with three double bedrooms really needs armchairs and sofas to accommodate at least six people. There are only really sufficient for five people. The plumbing needs an overhaul, neither shower has stable temperature control and water flow is dependent on usage elsewhere in the barn. The upstairs bedroom has no hanging space for clothes despite several doors into the roof void. One of the downstairs bedrooms also has very limited storage space.Whilst the kitchen is generally well equipped, tableware is quite limited for a group of six people.None of the above detracted significantly from a very enjoyable stay.
