Guests say

Wherryman's Cottage receives high praise for its beautiful riverside location, spacious and well-equipped interior, and relaxing atmosphere. Guests particularly enjoy the private garden with river access, boat hire, and proximity to excellent local pubs and scenic walks. The cottage is described as cosy and ideal for families and dog owners. While parking can be a little tight and some found the sofa and bed less comfortable, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The property is frequently described as clean and well-presented, with only one mention of minor maintenance needs. No significant cleanliness issues were reported.

The riverside setting, access to the Broads, and proximity to pubs and local attractions are consistently highlighted as outstanding features.

Most guests found the cottage cosy and comfortable, though a few noted personal preferences regarding the sofa and double bed, and some difficulty with showers for elderly guests.

Guests appreciate the well-stocked kitchen, spacious layout, private mooring, and boat hire. Some minor maintenance and shower usability issues were mentioned, but overall facilities are highly rated.

The most popular way of exploring this stunning area, which teems with wildlife, is by boat, but there are also many cycle pathways to explore, including the Weaver’s Way. This covers a stretch of some 56 miles, winding its way through the Broads to Cromer and Great Yarmouth. The cottage is located in the pretty village of Coltishall with riverside pubs and shops. Wroxham, known as the Capital of the Broads, is just 3 miles away with waterside cafes, restaurants, shops, railway station and other amenities. Visitors of all ages will also enjoy a visit to Wroxham Barns, where giftware, country foods, a rose and plant centre, junior farm and funfair as well as craft studios and restaurant combine in one location. Children will also enjoy Bewilderwood Adventure Park with its treehouses, zip wires, jungle bridges and boat trips, which all combined makes a great day out. The seaside resorts of Great Yarmouth and Sheringham offer sandy beaches as well as markets and family entertainment; there is also over 700 acres of National Trust parkland to be found at Sheringham. Alternatively, spend a day in the fine city of Norwich, 8 miles, with its Norman cathedral, castle, museums, theatres, twisting narrow streets and ancient churches. Norwich offers a vast array of cafes and shops, and it boasts an open air markets with brightly coloured stalls. National Trust properties well worth visiting are Felbrigg Hall and Blicking Hall. This is the second time back to Wherrymans cottage. The location is great and having the boat hire is a bonus. The cottage is perfect, well stocked. and very cozy, As a family of eight we all enjoyed the local area, either up and down the Broads or nice country walks to the pubs.Sara was very helpful and a delight to deal with,We hope to return next year,😀

Lovely property, great location. Parking a little tight and neighbours a bit prickly, but other than that a lovely stay. Sofa and double bed not very comfortable, but then that’s personal preference.

Another wonderful stay at Wherryman's Cottage. The cottage is a relaxing retreat that helps you unwind the minute you walk through the door, everything you need with a great layout to accommodate families and friends. The added bonus of hiring a day boat moored at tge bottom of the garden. We have already booked for next year. Thanks to Sara, Daniel and Reuben
