Otter Lodge offers a spacious, contemporary retreat set in the tranquil countryside of Palgrave near Diss — perfect for families, couples or guests seeking accessible accommodation. One of only three bespoke lodges on a peaceful pasture farm in the Waveney Valley, it provides a calm, private setting with south-facing views, abundant wildlife, and stunning sunrises and sunsets.

Thoughtfully designed on a single level with ramp access and no steps, Otter Lodge is suitable for wheelchair users and guests with partial mobility. Inside, you’ll find a bright open-plan living, kitchen and dining area, leading out through French doors to a covered veranda and private sheltered hot tub — ideal for relaxing in any weather.

The lodge includes one large double bedroom, one spacious twin bedroom with an en-suite wet room, plus a main bathroom with bath and shower attachment. Additional sleeping for two is available in the lounge. The fully equipped kitchen includes a microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine, making self-catering simple and convenient. Smart TV, free Wi-Fi, central heating, double glazing, bed linen, duvets, towels and all utilities are also included.

Outside, enjoy your private decking with garden furniture, dedicated parking directly outside the lodge, and peaceful rural surroundings perfect for unwinding.

A complimentary welcome pack with tea, coffee, milk and biscuits is included. Travel cots and highchairs are available for £5 per week.

Well-behaved pets are welcome (max 2, £49 per week or £39 per short break).

Each lodge has been thoughtfully designed and positioned to make the most of the landscape, facing south with a covered veranda and a private undercover hot tub where you can unwind while watching the wildlife drift by. Early risers are treated to glowing sunrises over the eastern fields, while evenings bring spectacular sunsets to the west, creating the perfect backdrop for a quiet drink or a soak in the hot tub.

Despite the sense of seclusion, the charming market town of Diss is only a short walk or drive away, offering everything you need for an easy, enjoyable stay — from cosy pubs and cafés to restaurants, shops, and supermarkets. If you prefer a night in, takeaway meals can be delivered directly to your lodge, letting you relax without lifting a finger. The surrounding villages offer plenty to explore, with scenic walks and local attractions dotted throughout the area. For bigger adventures, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford Forest, Ipswich, and Norwich are all within easy reach, and Diss station provides a direct train into Norwich for a car-free day out. Arrival Information

Check in time is 4pm on day of arrival, and check out time is 9am on day of departure.

Please be aware the lodges only sleep 6 – if more people are brought the park will be unable to accept the booking. Also in the Otter Lodge they’re happy to accept 2 pets – which have to be added at the time of booking.
