Guests generally praise the property for its cleanliness, high standard, and great location close to amenities in Barnard Castle. The enclosed garden is appreciated by pet owners, and the welcome hamper is a delightful touch. Some guests suggest minor improvements for comfort and maintenance, but the overall sentiment is positive with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the property spotless and of a high standard. However, a few noted issues with cleanliness such as dog hair and a dirty toilet, which slightly lowers the score.
The location is highly praised for being ideal, close to the town centre and local amenities, with easy access to nearby attractions. Directions could be clearer, but the convenience is well-regarded.
The property is generally considered comfortable and well-equipped. Some guests, however, mentioned low sofas and poor mattress quality, indicating room for improvement in the comfort category.
Facilities are well-received with a fully equipped kitchen and private garden. Maintenance issues like a non-working radio and hoover, and the need for better furniture, suggest a need for attention to detail.
The welcome hamper is frequently mentioned and appreciated, indicating thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts, while a lovely addition, are not guaranteed for every stay.

10mins to Bowes museum which is fab. Inside property quality fittings and decoration. Nice to have a garden busy road nearby so there is traffic noise outside. I would highly recommend this property.
