The house was spotless a real credit to the cleaning company. The kitchen/dining area is excellent in particular the large fridge/freezer and log burner. The outside loo is a bonus and lovely and warm. The beds are super comfortable. We love this town, enough shops for essentials, Kayleighs cafe for coffee and cake, a great chippy and the hotel good for an evening drink. Great dog walks in the woods right on your doorstep. Barny is only 10 miles away, but a lovely drive as no traffic, on the excellent roads.

The people in Middletown are friendly and welcoming and it is a beautiful village to visit. We had an issue with the hob as there are no instructions, I did eventually work it out for myself but the neighbour offered to let us use his hob, how kind is that? Before we left I hoovered the property, as we have a dog and always aim to leave the property clean and tidy, there was rather a lot of dirt and dust behind the sofas, including a rogue malteser, which definitely wasn't ours! We did have a lovely stay though and would definitely recommend this cottage and will be back.

Also appreciated the local info, recommendations and maps. As keen runners, walkers and swimmers we really loved the Kings Walk into the nearby woods, it's very lovely in autumn. The village has all you need, little supermarket, deli, good second hand bookshop. We will plan to return again, thanks for a lovely stay
