Find an ideal holiday base all-year-round at October Cottage, a beautifully renovated, stone-built cottage located right in the hustle and bustle of Middleton-in-Teesdale town centre, with the North Pennines AONB in sight. Stroll along the charming town high street and into a welcoming abode, kicking off your walking boots and snuggling up in front of the woodburning stove as the auburn flames warm you up, ideal for a frosty winter's night in front of the TV. Let the chef of the group take charge of the cooking in the spacious kitchen/diner, a quaint room with fantastic amenities to suit all your dining needs, as well as a gorgeous wooden dining table where family meals can be enjoyed. From here, access the enclosed garden, boasting a large verdant lawn up several steps from a lovely patio area with seating, a lovely location to tuck into alfresco dining on a warm day, or to sip on a hot mug of morning coffee. Enjoyed it so much we have booked again for March next year. One observation maybe a blind would be an idea for the front door as you can see straight through to where folks go in an out of the downstairs loo.

It was lovely to have plenty of towels that meant we could all have two each in the week. It also made a difference to have handwash, dishwasher tablets and a supply of tea and coffee. The rest of the cottage was well resourced making it a home from home. The locarion was perfect with plenty of local amenities. We have thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay, thank you so much.
