Its right on the doorstep for some lovely walks, especially at the side of the Castle which is literally a 10 min walk from the front door. The high street has lots of lovely little shops, most of which are dog friendly, my dogs loved all the attention and treats they got. There was a lovely and very useful welcome pack awaiting us in the kitchen and the house was lovely and warm, The garden is very secure for dogs and the outside hose was very handy. We loved our stay here, it was very relaxing and felt very homely, the dogs had a great time exploring the area, as did we and i especially loved the little antiques area at the bottom of the high street. I am already looking to re book to come back here and do more exploring.

The welcome pack was an extra special touch we were not expecting and meant that we didn’t have to rush to the shop on arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the friendly people and Barnard Castle itself. I would have no hesitation in recommending Stang View to friends.
