Fabulous unique cottage finished to a very high standard with stunning views. Beautifully furnished including the best bed we have ever slept in and spotlessly clean. Great location to walk from or use as a base for the area. Dog friendly washing area with warm water is a welcome touch as we have a muddy spaniel. Nice to see a kitchen equipped with matching new items and sharp knives. Would definitely recommend.

River View Lodge is a beautiful place to stay with a fantastic view. Situated in the village but still managing to feel private. The bathrooms were of a high standard - amazing showers with lots of space. Bed was super comfy and the electric blinds revealing that view every morning was a bonus. Great wood burner well equipped kitchen and great sunken hot tub. Two great pubs within walking distance and a fabulous independent Co-op. Lots of walks with the best up on the nearby moors and along Hadrian's' wall. Would love to return.

We had a great family stay. The lodge was very well finished with high end kitchen and bathroom detailing and was spotless on arrival. The deck had nice views and it was a pleasure to sit in the hot tub and look out. We saw the aurora from the hot tub which was fantastic. The owner was only a message away and reached out with suggestions on local food options. Overall a really nice, private and chilled out family holiday. Highly recommended.
