About this property

A Victorian stone-built terraced house resting in the seaside town of Alnmouth, Lindores is the ideal base for a family or a group of adults looking to explore the coast and countryside of Northumberland. Begin your day with a coffee in the spacious sitting room, a tasteful space with pale green walls, stylish sofas in green and brown and a fireplace housing a woodburning stove for the cooler months. The green theme is continued into a contemporary kitchen where wooden flooring stretches throughout and there is a great selection of amenities, and a handy utility, to cater to your culinary needs, as well as a smaller breakfast table. Enjoy a heart-warming meal together in a light and airy dining room where double doors open up onto the patio, ideal for barbecues and evenings spent with a glass of your go-to tipple surrounded by sunshine and countryside air. As well as two family bathrooms where you can relax amongst the bubbles, there are five bedrooms set over three storeys, each with their own charm and storage, including a super-king-size with an en-suite, a double and a king-size on the first floor and two twin bedrooms on the second floor. Alnmouth is a fantastic seaside town with a lot on offer for guests, beginning with the large sandy beach, so why not enjoy a stroll in the salty air or visit the harbour or riverside walks? Venture into town for a bite to eat, sampling local produce at one of the tasty eateries and you can stock up on essentials at the convenience store, and there is also the option of the Old School Art gallery and England’s Oldest 9 Hole Links Golf course. Further from the property you will find the town of Warkworth, where there are more pubs, shops and a fantastic castle, as well as the historic market town of Alnwick which is well worth a visit. Make a holiday to remember with a stay at Lindores.

Situated just 4 miles east of Alnwick, Alnmouth is a charming resort popular with golfers and those seeking a peaceful holiday. The village lies on a narrow spit of land between the River Aln and the North Sea and was originally the port for Alnwick. Nowadays the area has returned to its unspoilt origins and offers a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as an excellent “links” golf course and some great rivers for fishing, as well as boasting miles and miles of splendid beaches and sand dunes to explore which afford stunning views of the North Sea. A short drive will bring you to Alnwick with its famous historic castle, The Alnwick Garden housing the Poison Garden which runs guided tours through dangerous botanicals and a variety of pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth is well situated for exploring Northumberland.

Lindores had plenty of space for all of us. Comfortable accommodation in the centre of Alnmouth close to the beach and shops. Had a great stay and will certainly return again

Hope to go again. Love the place. Only complaint is that the lovely-looking settees are too low and deep for the older generation to get down and up... particularly up!

The plumbing let down what is a great let The sinks do my drain well and leave an stale smell The top bathroom sink plug is broken and although I reported it nothing was done The bathroom in the master bedroom on the first floor bath when emptying leaks into the hall soaking bags and shoes The strange step between the kitchen and the scullery caused a couple of trips and it’s warning tape has worn off
