Guests say

The Huffy House in Northumberland offers stunning views, a cosy atmosphere, and a dog-friendly environment. Guests appreciate its quirky charm, peaceful setting, and proximity to local attractions. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the property's unique character and prime location for exploring the coast and countryside are highlights for many visitors.

Most guests found The Huffy House to be clean, with a few noting areas for improvement such as the presence of woodlice and the need for a deep clean. The property appears to be well-maintained overall, but attention to detail in certain areas could enhance the cleanliness score.

The location of The Huffy House is highly praised for its beautiful views, proximity to the coastline, and easy access to local attractions and transportation. It serves as an excellent base for exploring Northumberland, contributing to a high location score.

Guests find the cottage comfortable and cosy, particularly noting the wood burner and the views from the property. Some guests mentioned the need for new pillows and minor furniture updates, which slightly affects the comfort score.

The Huffy House is equipped with necessary amenities, but several reviews suggest that kitchen utensils and some facilities require updating or replacing. A small freezer and additional glasses were mentioned as desirable additions. Maintenance of the garden and BBQ area could also be improved.

While guests have mentioned a warm welcome and a bottle of Prosecco, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures such as gifts to accurately score this category. Therefore, the score is set to null, and guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

Fantastic views albeit we were not able to sit outside at this time of the year, too cold. The location was great. There were lots of coastal walks nearby. The railway station was a short walk and you could get to Newcastle / Edinburgh, even Penzance! The trains were also dog friendly. PS We managed to bring home 1 pillow case which we will post back once washed!

The view is to die for and our dog loved it. A couple of points however we would have used the microwave but it was rusty inside but we managed with the oven. Also because of the really bad weather we could have done with coat pegs or coat stand to hang our wet clothes or if we had known we could have brought something with us. The log burner did make up for that and we had to have it on everyday because of the weather. None of the above did however put us off. We would visit the property again.

Such a beautiful building and gorgeous views. Had everything we needed and we felt really comfortable. Needs a little bit of maintenance ( loose kitchen tap) but otherwise wonderful. Would love to visit again.
