About this property

Occupying a prime location in the heart of sought after Beadnell in Northumberland, Palmers Rest is a delightful, single-storey holiday home which is perfect for a large family get-together or small gathering of family and friends. The property offers plenty of space with alternative living areas so whether you want to gather together or get away from each other, you can do either! The sitting room has been tastefully styled to create a really inviting space which benefits from plenty of seating and an open fire, somewhere you can imagine coming together to swap holiday stories and enjoy each other’s company. The open-plan kitchen/diner is a really welcoming area with an ample fully fitted kitchen providing everything needed to cook tasty food for the holiday party and the breakfast bar has stools ready for guests to sit down, pour themselves a drink and keep the chef company. Leading off from here, there is an attractive dining area where when it’s time to eat, you can gather and indulge in long and relaxing meals together. The addition of the light and airy conservatory overlooking the fantastic, enclosed gardens, means that there is another space in which to relax; maybe somewhere you can curl up on your own with a book, or simply enjoy chilling out together. At bedtime, there are four equally well-presented bedrooms (a super-king-size, two doubles and a twin) and all being on the ground-floor means they are easy to access. There are two bathrooms in the property, so plenty of choice whether you’re looking for a refreshing dip in the shower or a long soak in the bath. Just a short walk from the property is the fantastic beach at Beadnell and you can also walk into the village which has a few shops and pubs. Hop in the car to visit nearby coastal towns and villages including Seahouses, Bamburgh, Warkworth and Alnmouth. Jump in the car for a scenic drive to attractions such as Bamburgh Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, Northumberland Country Zoo, Dunstanburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and Gardens and you can even take a boat trip to Farne Islands where you might get sightings of unusual birds and grey seals. Palmers Rest offers guests a delightful home-from-home where they are sure to have a relaxing holiday.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

House was perfect, hoping to come back soon.

A very well equipped kitchen and everything spotlessly clean throughout. Thoughtful owners had left a welcome pack - much appreciated. We would definitely book again if we revisit the north-east. Minor observation - the wifi signal was weak in some areas of the bungalow and an extender would help improve it.

There was everything we needed .we did have a problem with shower but it was sorted without delay. The location couldn’t be better. We are already looking to return next year.
