This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.

The snooker table in the garage was a hit with both the big kids and little kids, while the balcony was lovely to sit and watch the sunrise with a cuppa or if you are lucky enough, as we were, to see the Northern lights and meteor shower. All in all a lovely property and not too far away from Alnwick, Bamburgh, Lindisfarne and all the other places of interest.

Very comfortable home for just relaxing and enjoying the magnificent coastal views, yet ideally located as a base for touring around Northumberland and even Cumbria is only a couple of hours away. We definitely plan to return again.

Nice, spacious and warm house. Clean and very comfy beds. The master bedroom was very big and the en-suite was a nice surprise behind sliding mirror doors to match the sliding mirror wardrobe doors. Plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery, pans and other kitchen equipment but some items were dirty. The only other thing i would say needs improving is a larger parking area and a wider entrance for a bigger car to be able to reverse in safely.
