The open plan living space on the ground floor is tastefully furnished with patio doors leading to an enclosed garden at the rear; a haven for children at play. On the first floor are two of the bedrooms, one having the added convenience of en-suite shower facilities, along with a family bathroom too. A third double bedroom is on the second floor, affording superb views towards the sea, drinking in Dunstanburgh Castle from one aspect and towards Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands from the other.

The last time we were here was about 10 years ago and it looks like it hadn't been decorated since then with the same furniture.The pros; the bedroom we stayed in was ok, clean sheets but the on-suite must have had a leak as there was water damage where the tray was. The main toilet on the 1st floor was clean. The garden was tidy with a table and chairs on decking, but there was a rat run trap on the decking, we didn't use the garden much after we seen that. The cons; both sofas were very dirty, it looked like wet dogs must have been allowed the use them as the smelt also. The kitchen had loads of cob webs with lots of spiders in them, we had to hoover them up on our arrival. The kitchen was not very clean, the whole property could do with a deep clean and a full paint on the whole of the ground floor. I'm guessing that the owners of the property must not visit much as if they did they would be asking the cleaning company that deals with the property what are they paying for. No welcome pack on arrival just a pint of milk. We had booked to stay for one week but only lasted till the Wednesday morning. There was no visitors book and now I understand as surly the book would be filled with negative comments. I can not for the life of me understand why this property has been given 4 & 5 star reviews, it a 2 at the most. Needless to say well be giving this one a miss in the future.

Lovely place to stayBedrooms very nice, beds were really comfy, good amount of storage.Kitchen was well equipped including no store cupboard staples like cooking oil.Clean through. Nice quiet side road with no passing traffic - was happy to let kids go out alone.Nice well kept garden.Good location 5 min walk from bay

The rental property was clean and well equipped and well situated for lots of local attractions. Our granddaughter really liked the visiting rabbits that visited the back garden daily.
