This is the most disappointing experience we've had with a holiday cottage. It's also the most money that we've ever spent on one. For the money you'd expect at the very least a cottage that's well cleaned. As mentioned the cottage needs a decent clean. There's white dog hair everywhere downstairs. The rug in the living room is full of it. Our socks were covered in it constantly! The upstairs bathroom had loads of hairs blocking both the shower and bath plugs. Gross :-(The house, although it's on a B road it's quite a busy road at peak times. It's a 60 speed limit and is noisy from around 5am with commuters. So overall we would not recommend the property.

Lovely well equipped cottage, conveniently situated to the A1 and surrounding area. It was however a bit short on bowls/casserole dishes usable in the microwave and a pyrex jug or similar. The other comment to make is that despite the current heatwave the bed we chose to use had a 13.5 tog duvet on it, we coped by removing the duvet from its cover. All in all we enjoyed our stay and if returning to the same area would book again.

We had a wonderful break, although the weather was not good.
