Lovely house which suited our needs perfectly. Plenty of space in the house & garden for kids and dogs and the village of Belford is right on the doorstep. Generally the house was well equipped however a few extra cooking utensils & replacement of cracked/ chipped items would be appreciated. The kitchen / dining area is a delight, opening into the garden with a nice sturdy picnic bench outside . Better quality soft furnishings and a few rugs would make this lovely house feel even more homely and comfortable

Stayed for 7 nights at The Caddy’s Lodge. The accommodation is in a great location for exploring the Northumberland coast and great links on to the A1. Belford village itself is lovely and peaceful with good amenities. The accommodation was very spacious and comfortable and had everything you need. However, the cleanliness was not to the standard I would expect. The inside of the kitchen cupboards were very greasy and dusty when we arrived, sticky finger marks on the outside of the cupboards and left over tinned food from previous guests. Some of the bedrooms were dusty and I spent the first hour wiping surfaces and cleaning cupboards. On Saturday morning we had a visit from a guy who said he was coming to complete some repairs from previous guests (loose tiles in downstairs en-suite, replace broken toaster and replace broken drawer in freezer). The toaster was replaced and he said he would return during the week to fix the other issues. We had no notice of his arrival and we had not long woken up. The outstanding issues were not repaired during our stay. It would have been courteous to have notified us of his planned visit.

We found the beds and sofas uncomfortable but overall the cottage was brilliant. With it being a new build, you could hear every noise throughout.
