We have given our stay a top score and indeed would recommend to folk, despite small reservations, it’s a lovely house, spacious, warm and cosy, Belford is lovely wee town and the local area is spectacular, the welcome basket also a lovely touch. We had only one true complaint- we felt ‘decorated for Xmas’ should have been more than a solitary tree in the lounge! There was no other decorations ANYWHERE in the huge house and this was really felt most in the dining area where we were eating Xmas dinner, it wouldn’t have taken much time or effort to improve this for the guests. As noted by others, the house is lacking equipment in the kitchen if hosting eight adults; no beer glasses, only seven wine glasses, minimum cutlery and no big pot to make soup, chilli etc when catering for a large number of folk.

We used the cottage as a base to discover Northumberland and was within easy travelling distance to all the main attractions through its proximity to the A1. The cottage was very clean and spacious giving all 4 of us plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen was the hub of the home and our dog loved the enclosed garden. We will definitely look to return at some date in the future

Excellent place to stay, clean and comfortable beds. Plenty of room for up to 8 people to stay. Very good location to access the many sights and attractions. The welcome hamper was a nice touch. The only negative point we found was that the property had only 2 showers and the upstairs 2 bedrooms had only one bathroom between them.
