On the ground floor there are two large living rooms, both with cosy gas fires, a kitchen/dining room and one bathroom. With four double bedrooms on the first floor along with a shower room, Grey Croft is ideal for family gatherings. Christon Bank is located only 2 miles inland from the picturesque coastal village of Embleton where there are excellent local facilities and a glorious stretch of golden sandy beach. Craster, renowned for its world famous kippers, is 5 miles away and Beadnell Bay, a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, is only 6 miles up the seashore. A further 2 miles up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses where boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, depart regularly from its harbour. Here there are several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs and shops and many other amenities available including horse riding, fishing and golf on the links. Just a few miles inland is the bustling market town of Alnwick, with its dramatic castle, the location used for Harry Potter’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Had a lovely family holiday here in September. Excellent accommodation and well place for exploring the Northumberland coast. No shops, cafes or amenities within walking distance but we knew this when we booked. Very peaceful location.

Excellent accommodation. House was extremely well equipped and very clean. Very spacious with two separate living rooms and four generous bedrooms. Would certainly go back again, in fact would love to live in this house! Excellent value for money. Good location to explore Northumberland. Very small village with no local amenities apart from a pub, but only a couple of miles from the sea, and 8 miles to Alnwick which has large supermarkets. We went with our eldest daughter and her family who all thoroughly enjoyed their holiday and were hugely impressed with the accommodation. Also perfect for dogs. Our Labrador, Paddy, had a great time. Highly recommended.

Lovely house would be good if there was a file with information about the house and local are, we have had this in other cottage’s and found it useful. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Loved sitting out in the garden.
