Guests say

Howburn Log Cabin receives glowing praise for its beautiful, quirky décor, peaceful setting, and excellent facilities, especially the hot tub and log burner. Guests consistently highlight the spotless cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped nature of the cabin, as well as the helpfulness and friendliness of the hosts. The location is ideal for exploring local attractions such as Hadrian’s Wall and nearby villages. While a few minor suggestions are made regarding seating and storage, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Multiple reviews describe the cabin as spotlessly clean, immaculate, and very comfortable, with no negative comments about cleanliness. Only one review mentions a minor preference for less decorative items, but this does not detract from the overall impression.

Guests frequently praise the location for its tranquillity, proximity to local attractions like Hadrian’s Wall, and easy access to villages and walking trails. The occasional mention of a nearby road and train is noted, but guests state this does not spoil the peace.

The cabin is widely described as cosy, comfortable, and homely, with particular mention of the beds and relaxing atmosphere. One review notes the settees may be less comfortable for older guests, but this is a minor point among otherwise highly positive feedback.

Facilities such as the hot tub, log burner, well-equipped kitchen, and garden areas are repeatedly praised. The cabin is described as having everything needed for a relaxing break, with thoughtful touches and clear instructions provided by the hosts.

Guests consistently mention the hosts’ friendliness, helpfulness, and attention to detail. Occasional gifts such as a bottle of fizz and chocolates are noted, but it should be politely stated that such gifts are not guaranteed. Communication and welcome information are also highly praised.

Very good, 15 min walk into Haltwhistle for an evening out. Log cabin was great- clean and cosy. Hot tub was a bonus after a long day walking. David contacted us the night before with full details of check in and how to use hot tub, log burner etc. Highly recommend

Our stay at the cabin was fantastic. I’m still amazed at the decor. The owners were great at giving us tips on where to visit and places to eat. Me and my family will definitely be back again.

We spent 7 wonderful nights at the Cabin. On arrival, we were greeted with a bottle of fizzy and box of chocolates. It's in a beautiful location and there are many places to visit. The cabin is full of quirky features and has a lovely garden area with plenty of seating around the cabin. After a day of exploring the area it was great to relax and unwind in the hot tub! The hosts are AMAZING and so so helpful. They call the night before to give you directions, keycode etc. If you needed anything, you just call them. They made our stay so wonderful and I would 100% recommend a stay at the cabin.
